Here it is.
The video had its world premiere yesterday in BET channel. I think Nick Cannon did an ‘okay’ job with the video but still, I think it would’ve been way better if the director was someone like Brett Ratner or Paul Hunter. Look at “We Belong Together” and “Honey” – they’re such great videos. This is one that Nick Cannon did is reminiscent of “My All” minus the artistic touch. If only Herb Ritts were still alive he might have given this song an appropriate video.
Anyway… Though I don’t totally disagree on playing dress-up for a music video, she could’ve worn something more while driving that car just to offset the barely-there showgirl costume. It’s like too much of nothingness in terms of clothing – quite nauseating. O diba nilait-lait na. Sige plus points tayo: the backstage scene, the gold car and of course, the very hot lead hunk Andrew Karelis. Aside from the song, he’s the best thing that happened in this video. Hehe!
Below is the video for the best song and latest single off Mariah Carey‘s E=MC2 album “I Stay In Love.”
UPDATE:
I read a funny comment from someone getting confused with the lyrics. This guy thought Mariah said “I fart like a whale” instead of “I front like ‘oh well’ each time you let me down.” That made laugh at in fairnezz parang ganun nga! Hahaha!
