And there it went – the night we were initially reluctant to spend turned out to be the happiest time, so far, I had with them since we graduated from college four years ago. Too bad Chester wasn’t there.

Stories and pictures after the jump…
Cham invited us to go out last Saturday but his idea of fun was a bit different from what the rest of us were accustomed to. Anyway, we all agreed out of sentiment and curiosity. Cham and I spent time together last May while Chai and I last saw each other during our reunion February 2008. With our schedules rarely free, we aren’t always lucky to have such time to go out together so last Saturday was really a gift.

We had dinner at Jack’s Loft in Tomas Morato. We settled outside because it was a cool, drizzly night and the lights were fabulous. It gave me the impression that the place was only months old – I never really knew. I liked it there. The food was good and well-presented, the service people were nice, and the place was clean. It’s my type of beautiful and quiet place to stay to chat with friends.

I ordered pasta and chicken (as always) while Cham, who has a tendency to over-indulge on the menu, ordered too many food again so in the end, we had to sit longer and eat more than we could take in. We had them wrapped na lang when it was time to leave.

We then transferred somewhere I can’t tell.
Basta we all had fun there. It wasn’t the typical night girlfriends go out to do but surely, we all had a blast. I think I drank around ten bottles of beer but I never noticed. We were so entertained and laughing a lot and just having fun – we even joined the freakiest body shot I’ve seen. In the end, we all danced onstage until the place was lit up and it was time to leave. Good times.

I appreciate that night so much because I don’t go out often nowadays. And spending it with friends I very rarely see was a validation of how distance doesn’t change how we see each other. Maybe it does – we are better now in a lot of ways. But the friendship and comfort will always be there.

Thanks girls.
Until next time.
