What’s Next?

Posted by Borgy On December - 31 - 2009

It’s the last 18 hours of 2009 and looking back I feel sad and a bit alarmed at how fast time passes (chronicles will come after the New Year). Right now, I’m just thankful my family and friends survived this challenging year and we’re all looking forward to the big changes on 2010. But specifically, what’s next for me?

  • I wanna do more physical things. I’m done fitting gym into my schedule but I’m gonna try quick exercises everyday. Men’s Health Magazine said “Little exercise is better than no exercise at all.” But aside from that, I wanna spend more time walking, running, or playing with my dog. I wanna participate in a marathon as well.
  • I wanna get serious about my career. I will make the big decision in 2010 and hope it’ll bring better things. And hopefully, I’ll find what I really want.
  • I wanna start saving. My credit cards will be put to rest so unnecessary purchases will be prevented. In relation to that, I wanna invest in the stock market.
  • I wanna spend more time with my family and Piglet. I read somewhere “I’m working for my family. There’s no point in working hard if I’ll lose the ones I’m working for in the process.”
  • I wanna be more spiritual. I’ve started hearing Sunday masses again at 5AM because I feel most solemn and at peace during that time (plus our church isn’t filled with distracting crowd). I wanna continue doing that even when I have Saturday night commitments.
  • I wanna do some charity work. The other day I arranged my closet and took out clothes that no longer fit. I plan to donate those to the orphanage. There’s an orphanage near my place so I want to dedicate time and support for them.

There. Despite the challenges I go through, I still receive blessings much more than I think I deserve. So, along with developing myself, I want to give back as well even in small ways. That’s how I want to live my life this year. I also have a list of resolutions but I’m embarrassed to post them. :D I’m welcoming 2010 with much hope, determination and positivity. Happy New Year everyone! :)

DTC on the Red Carpet

It’s the time of the year again when I fill my blog with loads of photos! Thursday night was our company’s Christmas party in Crowne Plaza and it surely was personally unforgettable for one obvious reason. I will reveal later why. It was fun, fabulous, loud and filled with really good food. 7 Corners really does not disappoint.

Sex and the City Movie 2

Posted by Borgy On December - 11 - 2009

This is love! I remember the first one. I watched it alone because Piglet had a lot to do that day and was too tired to go with me to Greenbelt. All my close friends were either unavailable (and it was Friday night!) or were planning to watch it with someone else that weekend so I had no choice but to go alone. I’ve already got two seats reserved but paid for just one. Of course, no one bought the seat beside me. The entire row in front of me was bought by a happy group of friends which made me feel even more alone. I headed to the movie house fifteen minutes ahead so it wouldn’t be filled with people yet. I didn’t wanna get noticed walking in by myself to watch a romantic-comedy chic flick. That would’ve made me feel worse than being a loser I already was.

I watched the series when it still aired in HBO. I bought seasons 1 to 6 DVDs to watch during my downtime at home. Surely I won’t miss this second film. And I won’t let Piglet bail out on me this time. :)

Kilig!

Posted by Borgy On December - 10 - 2009

I’m a sucker for kilig moments on TV or film. Those scenes when two people are starting to realize they like each other and finding a way to get the message across. Nothing beats the sight of that deep stare on a first date! And because of that, I’m now the newest fan of Melason. Last Monday’s PBB episode was the most authentic super kilig moment I’ve seen on TV. It was funny and totally unassuming. I don’t see the showbiz factor in them that’s why they appeal much to me. I keep watching it on YouTube. :)
