100%

Posted by Borgy On November - 13 - 2009

I love inspirational stuff – especially songs. In fact I believe in “The Secret” so much I tell people about it whenever I can. And I got my vision board as my desktop wallpaper at home. Reaching your goals is all about believing and maintaining a positive outlook in life. Here’s a mood-setter that recently leaked online.

Do you like to define my limits?
I don’t need no permission to live it
I’ma break through the door ’til I get in
Everything that I got I’ma give it 100%
And I ain’t stopping ’til I reach the finish

I’m a believer not just a dreamer
I’m giving everything I got
I’m a go-getter. 100 percenter
Undoubtedly I can reach the top
And I ain’t gonna let nothing discourage or diswade me
Cause I’m walking out of here a champion either way babe
I’m giving it 100% so go and put your ones up

If you’re putting in 100, put your ones up
If you know you can do something, put your ones up
If you really comprehend this, put your ones up
If you’re walking in the victory, keep on shining 100%

You can only do if you do it like I did
Cause suffering ain’t easy
But if you can turn your wounds into living proof
That you survived the fight
And you’re no longer defined

Don’t you ever be discouraged
Let nobody take your courage
If you’re gonna pray don’t worry
If you’re gonna worry don’t pray
You just keep the faith

Listen to it after the jump…

Shelob Gave Birth!

Posted by Borgy On November - 10 - 2009

Shelob, my Boston Terrier, gave birth to six puppies at 1AM today. She’s a small dog and her puppies are big so she had to undergo cesarean procedure. Early this year, Arwen gave birth to two big puppies via normal delivery and both puppies died. So since then, we never risk having any of our toy dogs give birth normally.

Look at Shelob. She’s the only dog I know who can’t put her entire tongue inside her mouth. So when she closes her mouth, the tip of her tongue sticks outside. I’ve always thought it looked funny. :D

Shelob

It was past midnight and Shelob was considered an emergency case in the clinic. The vet and the helpers had to be woken up so there’s an extra fee for that hassle. I paid a relatively big amount for the service and medicines but it’s still nothing compared to the price of one puppy that may die if she did a normal delivery.

And here are the cute puppies. They’re five girls and one boy. Sadly, the boy puppy has cleft palate and Kuya TJ said it’s not a good thing. Most puppies in such case die because the milk they suck goes to their lungs through their deformed snout. I felt sad about it but I’m hopeful he will survive so I can keep him as a pet.

BTW, the puppies are for sale. In two months I’ll start advertising them after they get their papers and shots.

Anticipating Christmas

Posted by Borgy On November - 2 - 2009

I suppose you’ve felt it too! The past week felt Christmas-y cold and I loved it. Now that Halloween is over, we can all start anticipating Christmas! I’m sure there will be Christmas decorations in our building lobby tomorrow. Wooohooo! This is it.

I’m actually copying holiday songs to my iPod now. I don’t like the R&B-esque songs – I want the classic sounding ones. I just loaded the “Christmas In Our Hearts” album by Jose Mari Chan which I think is the best Christmas album ever! If only the whole world heard it. Mom bought a cassette of this when I was a kid so Christmas In Our Hearts always reminds me of holidays with Mom – gifts, new clothes, the rush, and the family reunions. Listening to it now brings back the same feeling around 15 years ago.

Happy Halloween!

Halloween 2009

The last one in my string of weekend parties and it was fun. Nice way to end the celebratory months of my year. Some cried for the nostalgia but the rest of the night was filled with laughter!

Pictures are posted on Facebook.

New Moon in 20 Days

Posted by Borgy On November - 1 - 2009

Twenty more days. I’m not sure yet if Piglet wants to see this but he saw me reading the books (and he was irritated by the long time I was focused reading and wasn’t talking to him) so he knows I like Twilight.

So much hype has been going around this movie and most were focused on how Taylor Lautner (Jacob) turned from skinny to brawny. He’s a living proof of discipline in fitness. I read an article in GQ how he was almost replaced in the sequel because he used to not look the part of Jacob in New Moon. Jacob turned from a skinny schoolboy into a sexy werewolf in New Moon so Taylor’s old look had to be updated too. So he worked out and gained 30 lbs! Mygad! I can imagine the pain he went through to gain so much muscle.

Ganda ni Bela and the special effects of the movie look amazing! Way more amazing than Twilight. SureSeats.com opened the advance selling of tickets and grabe, Friday and Saturday night screenings were already sold out. Good thing Piglet and I can watch movies only on Sundays so I was able to reserve good seats at the best time. I have high expectations for this movie. New Moon is not my favorite book (Eclipse is) but the trailer looks good.
