Banchetto

Posted by Borgy On April - 25 - 2009

Banchetto is one of the things I love about Ortigas. I always tell my friends about it but I have yet to take them there for a very late dinner. Every Friday night (Saturday morning), half of Emerald Avenue is closed to vehicles to make way for Banchetto . Call center people of Ortigas flock the place making this weekly fair crowded and exciting. Why won’t they? Loads of delicious food are sold in Banchetto at an affordable price. And for someone who works at night and has very limited choices of stores to eat in, Banchetto is food heaven!

Tweets!

Posted by Borgy On April - 20 - 2009

There are a lot of social networking sites that you can use to know the latest stuff about your friends. Relatively, one is better than the other. I prefer Facebook despite of its controversial Terms of Agreement – it’s easy to use, you can do lots of things with it, and it’s very easy to interact with your friends about anything you put up in it. But aside from Facebook, another favorite is Twitter. You know why? Mainly because lots of celebrities that I like personally use Twitter and you can follow their updates with just a click! Hehe.

I am a Mariah Carey fan (I even topped the Know-It-All quiz global scores in Facebook about Mariah) and it’s nice to know stuff about her personally from her. Yes. She tweets everyday! I know it’s her because she tells stuff before it hits the gossip sites. The other people I follow on Twitter are Oprah Winfrey, Pete Wentz, Ellen DeGenres, Agyness Deyn and Perez Hilton. I wish Luke Worrall goes on Twitter soon!

Another reason why I like Twitter is because this blog layout I’m using now has a Twitter plugin that displays my tweets at the bottom of the page. Look below and you’ll see the latest stuff about me. I update it whenever I go online. It’s fun because I get to say things, display them here and I don’t even have to write a blog-entry’s worth of thought. It just serves the purpose of getting random ideas across very very quickly. Hehe. So more or less, this blog may get stuck for a couple of days but the tweets below are updated more than twice everyday. I like!

So right now, as per my tweet, I’m gonna take a shower and go to sleep. I wanna go to work before 11AM starting tomorrow. Tweet on! :)

Susan Boyle

Posted by Borgy On April - 17 - 2009

Do you know that embarrassing feeling of having judged someone because of his looks and unconventional attitude then being prejudiced towards what he could do? That’s exactly what the Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Piers Morgan, and the entire audience felt after hearing Britain’s Got Talent contestant Susan Boyle sing. This is reminiscent of Paul Pott’s audition except that Paul was a bit timid while Susan was bubbly. She was amazing! And the shockingly impressed reactions of the jury were priceless.

Natasha sent me this and I was expecting Ms. Boyle to be brilliant or totally ridiculous. Those two characteristics of an audition piece are the only ones worth sharing nowadays. Unless the contestant gets naked and sexy onstage. Hehe. Anyway… Watch and marvel at how Susan Boyle vindicated herself. I’m sure that girl in the audience (who raised her eyebrows when Ms. Boyle declared her dream of becoming a professional singer) is not so happy to see herself on TV.

Filler

Posted by Borgy On April - 11 - 2009

I spent all night monitoring emails and tweaking this new layout I found. The previous one was so buggy sayang I love its carousel pa naman. This one’s cute too and its carousel isn’t that bad. The only problem is the pictures aren’t showing up! I don’t know why. I can’t spend another hour finding out – I need some sleep. Check out the video – it’s hilarious! EQ, my good friend from WELS, showed me this when I was still teaching there. Grabe I love it.

It’s Black Saturday and I stayed home for the past two days. I guess I’m gonna do some religious stuff later – maybe I’ll take Piglet to the church with me. He’s been being too religious lately and I’m not used to it. It’s starting to freak me out. But it’s good. Anyway… I’m rambling again – lack of sleep. This post is just a filler and a disclaimer on the malfunctioning components of this layout. :D Haha!

I’m going to sleep. Oh! And Carlo, did you see the DTC summer post? It’s almost entirely about you. :P Mas madami ka pa yata pictures sakin. Hehe. I’ll check nga if you’re done with it in Multiply. It’s been a week – you’ll lose momentum na.

DTC Summer 2009

It was that time of year again when work was left in the office while we enjoyed our time away from the city, noise, meetings and deadlines. It was all about having fun!

Goodbye WELS

Posted by Borgy On April - 6 - 2009

Saying goodbye is always sad and I’ve dealt with the hardest ones during the past three years. There’s no easy way and it’s especially hard when you know you don’t want something to end yet but it has to. It’s like reaching your curfew while on a happy night out with friends. Or running out of beer before you reach that drunken state. Nakakabitin. But you just have to deal with it, sleep it off and look forward to the next day. At least you got a taste of a sweet moment that you won’t forget.

Last Friday I spent my last day as a teacher in WELS Academy.
