Rainbow

I’m here in the office taking a little time off from the hectic work plan for the week. I’ve been spending extra two hours here since Tuesday just so I could accomplish more and honestly I feel quite good about it. Maybe I am capable of growing up after all – contrary to the branding that I used to get. Hehe… And speaking of that, yesterday I was talking to Harvey and we were reminscing our days in college. I’m one of those who really treasured college moments. I enjoyed it – super! Although it wasn’t the school that I first chose to be in, it seemed a good choice in the end because I met people I don’t think I’d ever meet had I been in other universities. And with them, life was fun and easy. Super! We seldom see each other now and even if we do, we’re no longer as many as before. But still, it feels good to keep them in close distance – only an IM away. Hehe…

Anyways… The other day, here in the office, I saw a big rainbow through our office window. It was really big and bright. It did not rain but it was cloudy. There were two rainbows actually – one on top of the other – but the second rainbow wasn’t as bright and could not be seen in the pictures. I soooo loved it. I don’t see them often and I never saw a rainbow this big actually. Haaaay… I interpreted such vision to be a bearer of something good and I really believed it so somehow it kept my spirits up throughout the busy day. If only they could always be there when you wanted them to. Hehe…

I’m gonna go back to work.

And BTW, I haven’t been updating because I terminated my service from SmartBro. I’ve always been satisfied by the speed of my connection but their technical support SUCKS BIG TIME! They never provided me with sensible information when I experience interruptions and they tell me the same old things that only as-a-matter-of-factly mean “I don’t know the answer and you have no choice but to wait!” Well, goodbye to them. I hope they provide customers with more reliable support because their service actually is good most of the time. But the support… ARGH! It’s annoying and enough to give them the boot!

That picture tells a lot of stories but there’s a lot more to share than I can tell in just one seating. Last Saturday our company went to Mindoro for our annual getaway and I think it was a far more exciting experience than last year in White Rock. Well, I didn’t know it would turn out that fun actually because the moment we arrived at the resort and saw the beach, experienced the service and moved around the place, we were all disappointed. There were a lot of fuckups that went but we were glad that our island hopping trip went so very well.

It was my first time to go snorkelling. At first I was very scared cos they told me the area was infested by sharks so I was really paranoid. I kept asking if sharks come near the beach and attack people or if they could single out those who were really scared for a much easier prey. I was really heistant before we got there but then it was an overwhelming experience that I sort of forgot about it after a little while in the water. On top of that, I never liked marine animals and mossy rocks but I was able to conquer those silly inhibitions. I even grabbed this blue starfish from underwater myself. But I returned it to the sea cos they told me it would lose its color and turn brown when it dies.

We also went root climbing. I didn’t know I would but it looked fun so I tried. But I did not expect to see a jungle after the climb. And then from there we went trekking. It was just a short distance but the track was filled with thorny plants and trees so it was hard to walk without losing balance. And those thorns are no joke. They were like an inch long with sharp tips.I’m still gathering pictures from my officemates’ cameras because I look ultimately fugly in most of Suze’s (my camera) shots. Hehe… Plus I was not able to bring it with me when I climbed. But it was nice that I didn’t because when we climbed down on the other side of the island, we had to jump into the water and swim our way back. It was the best! There was a little underwater cave in there where we all laid down to rest for minutes. And then it was already around 12PM and we noticed that the waves grew big and strong. I was sitting on a rock and the waves just kept pushing me off of it. And because of that, some of us just climbed the rocky side of the island back to our camping spot cos it was risky. Me… I swam my way back together with four of my officemates. It was really great.

I’ll be updating this entry again for more pictures. Busy B-U-S-Y week ahead.

This is the thorny jungle path that we crossed after climbing the thick roots.

And this is a very hideous picture of me after kayaking with Celle. It wasn’t as fun as snorkelling or jumping off a rock and into the water but it was my first time to ride it so it still got me excited.

After doing this little root climbing thing, I feel like trying rock-climbing next. My officemates did that last month but I wasn’t able to join due to my schedule. So… Here’s a rear view of me while asking Kuya Manong where to put my foot next.
